If Czechs often tell you, “mluvíš dobře, ale jako učebnice” (“you speak well, but like a textbook”), you will love slowczech overall :-). And if you want to feel confident in day-to-day situations and learn how to react naturally, any of slowczech courses will help you speak more like a Czech person.

How do we make sure our online Czech courses are the perfect fit?

We are slowczech, a team of friendly language teachers on an adventure! We help students speak real, everyday language to reach their goals. Learning Czech with us is like a hot air balloon ride. It’s fun, it’s relaxed, so you can admire the landscape while safely getting to your destination.

In detail: We will practice your Czech slowly, focusing on everyday situations. We will play, work with stories, and have a lot of fun because that’s when progress happens. Note, you need to be able to forget traditional methods and learn more like a child 🙂 So… do you want to be more confident in Czech? Do you want to try new learning methods you haven’t experienced yet? Join me! I also teach children, so you can expect playful, fun, and engaging methods in our lessons!

When: Monday 13:00 – 14:00 (1 July to 19 August)

Level: false beginner (A1) 🎈

Czech that's real, speak without fear (for Slavic speakers)

(intermediate A2/B1, 3 months, weekly ZOOM lessons)

❓ Do you want to communicate more naturally and confidently with your Czech friends, family members or colleagues? Do you want to learn more about the culture and learn useful phrases for daily conversations? This course is for you!

How: via Zoom

In detail: This Czech conversation course is specifically designed for (A2/B1) Slavic learners. The focus will be on speaking and interacting with others in the group. Practicing questions and phrases in everyday spoken Czech. The course will be tailored to your specific needs and interests.

When: Tuesdays, 16:00–17:00 (12 lessons from 1 October to 17 December)

Level: intermediate🎈🎈🎈 (A2-B1)

Group: 3-5 students in the group

Your investment: 12 weeks = 4 800 CZK (12 lessons)

By the end of this course:

✅ You will feel more confident having conversation in Czech.

✅ You will be able to respond/ask naturally in Czech, using phrases that locals actually use.

✅ You will be able to understand more of the Czech culture.

✅ You will be able to apply your skills in simulated real-world scenarios, including family gatherings, work interactions, travel situations…

✅ You will have created genuine and supportive connections with your group, helping you advance even more.

✅ Your personal goals will be of course counted in because slowczech groups are always based on our learners’ objectives and wishes.

Speak Czech and Have Fun! (for non-slavic speakers)

(lower intermediate A2, 8 weeks, weekly ZOOM lessons)

❓Do you want to have fun while practicing your Czech? Connect with other enthusiastic Czech learners and engage in conversations about topics of your interests and needs! Enjoy entertaining role plays in which your smile and joy will come first and learning Czech will be just a pleasant side effect.

How: via ZOOM + WhatsApp group during the course

In detail:

First, we’ll discuss what matters most to each of us in learning Czech. Based on your needs, I’ll send you personalized materials (texts, audio, video, useful vocab & phrases…) before each lesson, along with some questions to think about. This way, you’ll already be familiar with the vocabulary related to our topic, allowing you to dive into the discussion right from the start. Although it’s a group class, you’ll spend most of the time speaking, thanks to the break-out rooms tool. This ensures you’ll have plenty of opportunities to connect with your fellow learners one-on-one.

Based on my experience, engaging and practical role plays create a warm, friendly atmosphere in every course. That’s why I include them in every lesson!

Moreover you’ll have access to a supportive WhatsApp group, where you can ask questions, share tips, and practice Czech daily—if you want!

You’ll receive materials for each lesson via Google Doc, where you can track your progress and review the new vocabulary you’ve learned!

My goal is to create a supportive, enjoyable space where you can have fun, unwind from your daily routine, connect with positive-minded people, and learn Czech as a delightful bonus!

🎈🎈 "Connect with Czech daily" in October

(1 month, lower intermediate via Google Docs and WhatsApp)

✅ Experience a collaboration-based course that provides small daily wins and group motivation, avoiding traditional schedule-based lessons!

How: using Google Docs and WhatsApp, daily except weekends (pozor, there are no ZOOM lessons, but speaking video calls)

What it’s about: Experience interactive learning that adapts to your individual schedule. Create a daily habit of practicing Czech for a minimum of 5 minutes up to 30 minutes (jestli chceš), at your own pace, but in collaboration with others.

In detail: Each week, we work with one podcast episode and complete various activities (contribute to our story with a word or sentence, create a sentence with a new word without using Google, and record it to improve your pronunciation, etc.). These activities are designed to be engaging and help you learn easily and daily. We use Google Docs and WhatsApp to share our work, comment, ask questions, and give feedback. You’ll get to know your classmates and learn together in a supportive environment. There is one 30-minute meeting at the beginning + end.

When: 7 October to 2 November (Monday to Friday)

Level: lower intermediate (lower A2) 🎈🎈

Group: 8 to 12 students in the group

Your investment: 1 month = 1 800 CZK

BONUS: speaking calls twice every week – Tuesdays & Saturdays at 18:00 Czech time.

In detail: This Czech conversation course is specifically designed for advanced Slavic learners. Join Daniela’s Czech conversation course for B2 students, where we’ll focus on faster, more natural communication and vocabulary expansion. Each lesson will use authentic materials, including listening exercises and texts, to help you improve your fluency and confidence. We will also refine your pronunciation to make it more pleasant to Czech ears. This course is designed to help you speak more confidently and naturally in Czech, all while keeping the learning process engaging and enjoyable.

When: Tuesdays, 17:00 – 18:00 (16 lessons from 3 September to 17 December)

Level: advanced 🎈🎈🎈🎈 (B2)

Group: 3-5 students in the group

Your investment: 16 weeks = 6 300 CZK (16 lessons)

By the end of this course:

✅ You will be able to do many things the same way a Czech person would.

✅Your already good pronunciation will improve so much that the little betraying sounds will disappear, stopping them from revealing your nationality when you don’t want to.

(upper beginner to lower intermediate, 2x a week, 8 weeks)

How: twice a week via ZOOM, with 2 tutors + WhatsApp conversational group during the course

What will you learn: Are you ready to take your Czech skills to the next level? Join our group course tailored for A2-level students, focusing on practical conversation in an authentic Czech environment.

In detail: In the first lesson, we’ll introduce ourselves and discuss your current language needs. Based on your input, we’ll adapt the course content to best suit your interests and goals. You will dive into engaging topics such as casual chats, ordering food, shopping, handling complaints, giving advice or traveling. Practice with fellow learners in a supportive environment and gain confidence in real-life situations. Plus, gain exclusive access to our supportive WhatsApp group, where you can ask questions, share tips, and practice Czech every day! Materials for each lesson will be provided via Google Docs, where you will be able to see your progress and new vocabulary you learnt!

When: Monday + Wednesday 16:15 – 17:15, from 6 May to 26 June

Level: upper beginner to lower intermediate 🎈🎈

(pre-intermediate to intermediate, daily except weekends)

✅ Express yourself about daily topics, write and speak in informal Czech. Short messages. Daily. Write more like a Czech. Get the feel of the normal language about normal things. All that on your phone!

How: daily via WhatsApp (pozor, there are no ZOOM lessons)

In detail: We practice normal, everyday language and informal communication. We engage in discussions based on everyday topics that you want to practice. We explore our cultures and discover more about ourselves. We share our daily life experiences and joys. We write and talk about current and interesting news, expressing our opinions in Czech. Prostě, we chat via WhatsApp, without Google Translate. We make mistakes and get better at Czech together! Jsi ready? Já jo!

When: 4 weeks, 1 August to 31 August except weekends

Group: 3 – 5 students in WA group

Level: pre-intermediate to intermediate (A2/B1+)

Your investment: 3 300 CZK (1 month)
