The member-only content helps me tremendously.

I’m definitely enjoying the premium content and diving deeper into each topic. I like that different teachers have a bit different style / approach to creating their content. It keeps it interesting. Honestly, you guys have a great team and I almost always find the content engaging, enjoyable, interesting, funny, helpful and / or adorable.

Many learners face the same struggles:

  • Speaking and understanding the authentic Czech, beyond just textbook exercises.
  • Finding it hard to give a clear direction to their learning.
  • Struggling to immerse themselves fully in the Czech language.
  • Difficulty connecting with family and family-in-law, in Czech.
  • Establishing a consistent learning routine with engaging content.
  • Moving beyond theoretical knowledge to practical language use.
  • Engaging actively in real conversations and everyday situations.
  • Accessing structured materials that allow for self-paced learning yet offer tutor support and peer interaction.

Otázka týdne 30/10 Máte rádi české jídlo a pití? 😆 Já musím říct, že moc ne. 😆 Má často maso a já jsem vegatarián a maso nejím. Ale mám ráda svíčkovou – tu omáčku. Mňam! 😄
❤️ 1
User Avatar Vendy
Já to mám stejně, taky nejím maso (jenom ryby), takže českou kuchyni moc nemusím.

Interesting tidbit: the illustration below depicts a “táborák”, a beloved tradition in Czechia. Friends and families gather around a campfire to relax, chat, grill buřty, and sip beer.

With slowczech, we aim to provide you with a similar atmosphere: a warm, welcoming space to meet fellow learners and practice your Czech in a no-pressure setting. Enjoy! :)

Eliška

business, mother, polyglote

I am slowczech founder and from my experience I know two things: beginners can understand words with time. And enjoyable input is vital for natural language acquisition. Many give up Czech due to old methods, irrelevant vocabulary or overwhelming grammar. Let’s change that and make learning Czech exciting and effective.
