Sometimes with my hands, but still. I noticed something huge: I wasn’t scared anymore.
Now I talk with people in the village, with friends, with family. In simple Czech of course, and with plenty mistakes. But it doesn’t matter.
Before slowczech, if someone spoke to me in Czech, I was like a deer in the headlights. Now I can slow down, take my time and ask someone to repeat it.
Because speaking Czech in real life is not one giant magical moment. It is many tiny “I actually did it!” moments. And yes, we make a big deal out of them. Samozřejmě.

I’m based in Brno — a city I love. I’m passionate about traveling, dancing, and personal growth, and I’m always looking to improve. I’m learning languages myself, so I understand the challenges. My lessons focus on speaking, with plenty of space for you to practice. We’ll set your goals together. I can also help you prepare for the A2 exam or CERMAT tests.
I’m a Czech and German tutor. I enjoy meeting people from different cultures and helping them feel comfortable in the country they have chosen to live in. I believe that language connects us, opens doors to people, culture, and the feeling of “I belong here.”
When I’m not teaching, I like to ride my bike, dance, walk in nature, garden, or relax with a book and a good glass of wine.
I have been teaching the Czech language my whole life, both as a native language and as a foreign language. I love to laugh and talk a lot. I can’t imagine my life without my big family and books. My life motto is: ‘Every cloud has a silver lining.’ And believe me—it really does! Let’s learn Czech together and discover the beauty of the Czech Republic!
