Your August Special 2026 — Terms & Conditions
These conditions apply to the two August 2026 slowczech offers:
Cases Prison Break and
Intensive Reset LOWER / UPPER.
Please read the section for the offer you are joining, as the two experiences have different formats,
schedules and cancellation conditions.
1. Cases Prison Break
Course format and dates
Cases Prison Break is a 28-day Czech-only group experience taking place from
3 August to 30 August 2026.
The experience includes:
- a private WhatsApp group
- one small mission every day
- a 45-minute welcome Zoom with the tutors on Tuesday 4 August at 18:00 Czech time
- a recording of the welcome Zoom
- tutor-free WhatsApp speaking calls every Tuesday at 19:30 Czech time
- tutor-free WhatsApp speaking calls every Sunday at 19:30 Czech time
- support and missions prepared by Šárka and Kateřina
- occasional tutor or Eliška visits during the WhatsApp calls
- weekly letters and one collective final key
Daily missions can be completed flexibly during the day.
The WhatsApp calls and welcome Zoom take place at the fixed times listed above.
Experimental first escape
This is the first experimental round of Cases Prison Break.
By joining, you understand that you are entering a course we are creating and refining together with the group.
Missions may be adjusted according to the participants, their Czech, the group dynamic and what is happening during the experience.
There may be small technical imperfections, changed instructions, spontaneous ideas or moments when the prison guards improvise.
These reasonable adjustments are part of the experimental format and do not automatically create the right to a refund,
provided that the course continues to offer a comparable 28-day group experience.
Language and participation
The complete experience takes place in Czech.
The tutors adapt the difficulty, instructions and missions after meeting the group during the welcome Zoom.
Cases Prison Break is based on active participation.
You decide how many daily missions, voice messages and calls you join,
but your progress and experience will naturally depend on how actively you participate.
If you miss a mission, call or Zoom meeting:
- it cannot be refunded
- it cannot be exchanged for an individual lesson
- it cannot be moved to another date
- it cannot be transferred to another person without prior written agreement from slowczech
Payment
The first experimental Cases Prison Break price is 2 900 CZK.
The course is paid in one full payment through Stripe.
Your place is officially confirmed once the payment is completed.
No cash refund — slowczech credit option
Outside any mandatory consumer rights that apply by law,
the Cases Prison Break payment is non-refundable once paid.
However, if you join and discover that the course format does not fit you,
you may ask us to transfer the amount you paid into
slowczech credit in the same value.
This credit can be used for:
- another slowczech self-paced course, or
- slowczech 1:1 lessons.
To request this transfer, email us at
contact@slowczech.com
during the Cases Prison Break course and no later than
30 August 2026.
The credit:
- has the same CZK value as the amount you paid for Cases Prison Break
- is not exchangeable for cash
- cannot be transferred to another person
- can be used toward a higher-priced product or 1:1 package after paying the difference
- does not create a cash refund if the selected replacement costs less
- must be used within 12 months from the date we confirm the transfer in writing
Once the credit has been used for another product or lesson package,
the conditions of that product or service apply.
WhatsApp and technical access
You are responsible for having a working WhatsApp account, a compatible device and a stable enough internet connection.
Slowczech is not responsible for problems caused by your device, internet connection,
WhatsApp account restrictions, notification settings or temporary third-party platform outages.
We will, however, do our reasonable best to help when possible.
Course messages, missions, recordings and participant content shared inside the private group
are for registered participants only and may not be copied, published or shared outside the group without permission.
2. Intensive Reset LOWER and UPPER ⚡
Pre-registration and group placement
Before payment, you book a short, friendly call with Maruška.
Intensive Reset groups are not created only according to traditional language levels.
We do our best to place you in the most suitable group:
Intensive Reset LOWER or Intensive Reset UPPER.
We look at:
- your current Czech understanding
- your speaking comfort
- how easily you can react in Czech
- where you need Czech in your real life
- which group will help you speak without feeling completely lost or under-challenged
- the overall group atmosphere and dynamics 😊
The final group placement is confirmed by the slowczech team.
Dates and schedule
Intensive Reset LOWER takes place from
3 August to 21 August 2026,
Monday to Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 Czech time.
Intensive Reset UPPER takes place from
4 August to 21 August 2026,
Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 Czech time.
Each group includes 12 live 60-minute Zoom lessons.
Your place
Your place is officially reserved only after we receive your full payment.
If the payment has not reached our account yet, you may send us a valid payment confirmation.
The full payment or payment confirmation must arrive before your Intensive Reset course starts.
Without it, your place is not officially confirmed.
Payment
Intensive Reset LOWER and Intensive Reset UPPER each cost 4 900 CZK.
The course is paid in one full payment.
Instalments and monthly payment plans are not available.
Missed lessons
Intensive Reset lessons take place on fixed dates and times and focus mainly on live speaking,
interaction and real-time reactions.
If you miss a lesson:
- the lesson cannot be refunded
- the lesson cannot be transferred to another person
- the lesson cannot be moved to another date
- the lesson cannot be replaced by an individual lesson
- recordings are not available
The value of Intensive Reset comes from joining the live group regularly,
speaking and reacting together.
Group size and course changes
Intensive Reset takes place in a small group of approximately 4–7 participants
so every learner has space to speak.
If the minimum group capacity is not reached, we may:
- offer you another suitable Intensive Reset group
- suggest a different time or course option
- postpone the course
- cancel the group and provide a full refund
We will always contact you before making a significant change.
Tutor changes
Intensive Reset LOWER is planned with Danča and Lucka.
Intensive Reset UPPER is planned with Šárka and Monča.
If a tutor becomes unavailable, slowczech may arrange:
- a substitute slowczech tutor
- a replacement lesson
- a timetable adjustment
- another suitable solution
A tutor change does not automatically create the right to a refund
if the course continues in a comparable format.
Refunds and cancellations
Outside any mandatory consumer rights that apply by law,
payments are non-refundable once the Intensive Reset course has started.
If you decide not to attend, stop participating or miss lessons after the course has started,
the course fee cannot be refunded, transferred or exchanged for another service.
If slowczech cancels the entire course and cannot offer you a suitable alternative,
you will receive a full refund.
3. Conditions applying to both August offers
Atmosphere and respectful participation
Both August experiences are built on:
- safety
- encouragement
- respect
- active participation
- speaking without perfection pressure 😊
You are allowed to pause, make mistakes, forget words and speak imperfect Czech.
That is part of the process.
We reserve the right to end someone’s participation if they repeatedly disrupt the course,
disrespect tutors or participants, behave aggressively,
share inappropriate content or create an unsafe or uncomfortable atmosphere.
If participation is ended for these reasons,
access to the group or lessons ends and the payment remains non-refundable.
No guaranteed result
We create the structure, support and speaking space.
You bring yourself, your Czech and your willingness to try. ❤️
We cannot guarantee a specific language level, perfect grammar,
fearlessness or identical progress for every participant.
Your experience also depends on attendance, participation
and what you do with Czech outside the course.
Consumer withdrawal rights
The withdrawal options and conditions described below apply only if you purchase as a consumer.
This means that you enter into the contract with us outside the scope of your business or professional activity.
Under the Czech Civil Code, a consumer generally has the right to withdraw from a contract concluded online
within 14 days from the date the contract is concluded.
Our online products and services are specific, and different rules may apply to them.
Some of our online products qualify as digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium.
In these cases, the right to withdraw does not always apply.
You cannot withdraw from a contract for the supply of digital content if you agree that the product may be supplied
before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period.
By accepting these conditions, you agree that we may activate and deliver the product without unnecessary delay
after payment, before the 14-day period expires.
Once the digital content has been made available in this way, you lose the right to withdraw from the contract.
This does not apply where the online product or programme begins more than 14 days after your purchase
and no digital content or access has been supplied to you before that time.
You also cannot withdraw from a contract for services that have been fully provided before the end of the
14-day withdrawal period with your prior consent.
If only part of the service has been provided during this period,
the withdrawal right may be limited only in relation to the part already provided.
In such a case, you are required to pay the proportionate price for the services already delivered.
You may withdraw from the contract if we are late in making the digital content available,
you ask us to provide access, and we still fail to make it available without unnecessary delay
after your request or within an additional period agreed with you.
You may notify us of withdrawal in any clear form.
You may also use the withdrawal form attached to our complete Terms & Conditions.
If you validly withdraw from the contract,
we will return the payment received from you without unnecessary delay,
using the same payment method that you used, unless we agree otherwise.
The commercial no-cash-refund and slowczech-credit rules stated above apply
only where and to the extent that mandatory consumer law allows them.
