Grammar Challenge

A 2-Month Group Program running

from 3 March to 28 April 2025

Overthinking endings?

Struggling to respond without awkward pauses because in your head it's like "-u? -ou? em?...eehhggg..."?

Knowing the rules but can't really use them when you want to speak?

You have spent month or even years learning Czech grammar… In your textbook, it all makes sense. But when it’s time to speak: ouuch,.. your mind goes blank.

Words don’t come out. You freeze.

Because you’re unsure whether it’s -u or -em—and you just want to sound and feel right!

At the same time, you don’t want to rely only on learning Czech “like a child”, 100% without grammar.

You want to understand the grammar.

You want structure.

But you also don’t want to waste years memorizing rules you can’t actually use in real conversations.

The good news? We are adults! And that’s an advantage.

Unlike kids, we can connect new knowledge to everything we already know. We can recognize patterns. We can speed up our learning if we do it the right way.

It’s time to stop letting grammar slow you down. Let’s make it flow naturally, effortlessly, instinctively.

✨ What if you could speak Czech without awkward pauses, without second-guessing every word, without the pressure of being 100% correct?

✨ What if grammar didn’t stress you out, and instead, you felt, “I can do this! It’s okay if it’s not perfect.”—and just went with the flow?

✨ No more “Czechs switch to English when I try to speak Czech.”

✨ Imagine finally speaking up, standing your ground!

✨ Imagine feeling not just good, but GREAT!

  • Feeling at ease discussing a recipe with your mother-in-law.
  • Chatting about your kids with colleagues—without overthinking every word.
  • Finally responding naturally to that kind neighbor instead of just smiling and nodding.

This is the confidence you deserve in Czech!

And that’s exactly what we’ll do...

... together!

jindra eliska grammar program cover_webp

In just two months, you'll start speaking naturally because it "just feels right."

With Eliška, Jindra, and a group of like-minded, committed, dedicated, and fabulous learners LIKE YOU who truly get you.

Our program has 2 LEVELS, but we all move forward TOGETHER—inspiring each other, learning side by side, and building connections in our WhatsApp group + goal setting and mindset shift sessions.

Jeff from USA⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"What I liked most about our Challenge is the encouragement from others. You might start to believe you're not making progress, but then you hear others' stories and feel reassured. It's a reminder that it's a long journey for everyone, which is really motivating and helps me stay committed!"
Tony from Canada⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"I never knew what ending to choose, and speaking was a problem... but in the group, I saw that I'm not alone. It felt so good and really helped me focus on the process and my goal (to reconnect with my family) instead of the problems and hard parts. Join the challenge if you can! Highly recommended."

How does the program look like?

Grammar Challenge is an innovative mix of self-study video lessons, group lessons, and mindset shift sessions.

At the beginning of the program, we set your goal for the next two months.

During the whole program, we alternate…

TWO TYPES OF WEEK:

🔹 Skill building weeks → One week, every morning at 5:00, you will receive a 15-minute video lesson (Monday–Friday) to work with on your own.

🔹 Absorb & Practice weeks → No new videos! Instead, you review any previous materials you feel like and join a Group Speaking Lesson to reinforce what you’ve learned. These lessons are 60 minute long and happen every other week.

WE MEET IN:

🗣 Group speaking lessons = in Czech
🎯 Goal-setting & mindset shift sessions = in English
💬 WhatsApp group chat = Czech & English as needed

🗣 GROUP SPEAKING LESSONS SCHEDULE

Tuesdays from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM Czech time.

And in detail?

📅 Time commitment

→ During Skill Building weeks (Monday to Friday), you’ll spend just 15–20 minutes a day working on one topic.

→ During the Absorb & Practice Weeks, you’ll have one group lesson and plenty of time to catch up, review, and reinforce what you’ve learned at your own pace.

Some weeks are more intense, while others are lighter.

🎥 Engaging video lessons
→ Eliška speaks directly to you in each lesson, you are speaking out loud with her.
→ 21 videos with clear explanations, passive practice, and active engagement exercises.

🗣 Interactive learning
→ Every video includes grammar explanations in English and mini-dialogues where you actively participate.
Writing exercises help you understand and apply what you learn.

💛 Eliška’s unique teaching style
→ Grammar is explained in the friendly, straightforward “Eliška-way”, making learning engaging and effective.

📌 Practical sentences you’ll actually use
→ No textbook fluff; every sentence you learn is designed for real-life conversations, so you can start using them immediately.

📄 PDF worksheets
→ Supplementing your learning with extra exercises.

👥 Group lessons & mindset shift sessions with amazing Jindra
→ Every Tuesday at 14:30-15:30 Czech time, join a live group lesson.
→ Replays are available for mindset shift sessions.

💬 Supportive WhatsApp group
→ Stay connected with the teachers and other fabulous participants, ask questions, and get asnwers or motivation to continue whenever you need it.

“Aha! So that’s why!” Catch yourself saying this more than ever.

Repeat. Apply. Speak.

You already know more Czech than you think. Now it’s time to use it!

YOUR TEACHERS

Eliška

I know how frustrating it is to know tons of grammar but still struggle to put together even simple sentences. And of course, you want to say it correctly! I can’t wait to see your results, witness your mindset shifts, and most importantly: hear you speaking Czech with more flow and ease.

Eliska slowczech CEO and founder

Jindra

I will be there to create a safe, supportive space with you: free from judgment and perfection, where trying, practicing, and growing come first. I will help you find your own way to feel more comfortable and confident when speaking Czech. Let’s make it happen—together!

What will we do together?

📌 We will find the balance between “what you need to speak” and “what you can ignore” → the moment you stop obsessing over every single rule is the moment you start speaking more confidently.

📌 We will NOT learn like children. We are adults, and that’s our superpower! This program isn’t about blind absorption—it’s about clarity. We take only the essentials, explain them in the super clear slowczech way, and then practice, practice, practice until it becomes natural for you to say it without thinking!

📌We will go slow and deep. No overwhelm. No rushing through topics. We repeat, we practice, we immerse. You will not just learn grammar—you will start using it naturally.

📌You will feel connected and supported. When you start believing you’re not making progress, you’ll hear others’ stories, be reminded that it’s a long journey for everyone, and feel motivated to stay committed. You’ll experience a mix of flexibility and group encouragement, so you’re never alone in this process. With Eliška, Jindra, and a group of like-minded, committed, dedicated, and fabulous learners like you who truly get you.

Robyn Golden-Hann, priest from USA⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"The challenge helped me to overcome my fear of grammar. Your approach is by far the best. I will probably never be a grammar fan, but you have opened a door to knowledge that previously seemed to be closed to me."
Charlotte Horakova, Conservation Scientist from United Kingdom⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Result? I don't feel so afraid about using my Czech anymore, even if there may be mistakes! And I feel really confident about where my Czech skills can go even further from here!"

Is this program right for you?

✅ You know some Czech grammar but need more practice.
✅ You like having a structured approach to keep you on track.
✅ You’re open to revisiting grammar in a fresh, engaging way.
✅ You enjoy learning within a group.

This course might not be for you if…
🚫 “Jedno pivo, prosím” is the extent of your Czech—this course is too advanced.
🚫 You don’t speak English, as grammar explanations are in English.
🚫 Finding 15 minutes a day feels impossible for you.
🚫 You don’t enjoy video-based learning.

This program is NOT for complete beginners.

🔹 Level 1: You should know at least 200 words, have some basic grammar knowledge, and have listened to/watched some Czech podcasts or videos. You might call yourself a false beginner or lower intermediate learner (not necessarily a speaker—yet! But don’t worry, we’re here to change that!).

🔹 Level 2: You’re somewhere between upper beginner and upper intermediate. When you look at Level 1 content, it feels too easy. But when you see Level 2 materials, you think, “Yes! This is exactly what I need to practice!”

Still unsure? No worries! Just send an email at eliska@slowczech.com, and we will pick the right level. 😊

Interesting tidbit: the illustration below depicts a “táborák”, a beloved tradition in Czechia. Friends and families gather around a campfire to relax, chat, grill buřty, and sip beer.

With slowczech, we aim to provide you with a similar atmosphere: a warm, welcoming space to meet fellow learners and practice your Czech in a no-pressure setting. Enjoy! :)
