⚠️ The Summer Immersion (and any other Immersion program) is not for complete beginners.
Are you at the very early stage?
Start with Speaker’s starter: From “Dobrý den” to Group Conversations—
your shortcut to real conversations with your Czech people.
📆 Running from 1 July to 29 August.
Let’s speak Czech. For real.
⚪️ You’re sitting at the dinner table with your Czech in-laws—and this time, you’re not just nodding.
You’re asking questions, sharing a little story, and seeing their faces light up.
🔴 You’re chatting with your friends at a barbecue—and you actually join the conversation.
You laugh with them. Not because you’re pretending to understand—but because you do.
🔵 You feel connected to your Czech ancestors in a new way—
not through history books or old photos, but through words you can finally speak and understand.
⚪️ You surprise yourself. You speak up at work, you handle a delivery guy,
you tell your neighbor “Hezký den!” and she smiles—and stays.
🔴 You no longer feel like you’re on the sidelines of your own life.
You’re part of it. Speaking Czech—not perfectly, but proudly.
🔵 You feel more connected—to your family, your colleagues, your Czech life.
And it feels good. It feels like you finally belong.
Czech still feels like a puzzle you’ll never quite solve.
You’ve studied. You know the words. You’ve done the work.
But when it’s time to speak…
You freeze. Ramble. Switch to English—again.
You overthink everything.
You’re afraid to sound awkward.
Afraid to get it wrong again.
And that fear keeps you quiet.
Even when you understand the topic, you miss what really matters—
because real Czech sounds nothing like your textbook.
You feel like a child trying to join an adult conversation.
You can’t express your humor, your opinions, your real thoughts.
And when people talk fast? It’s like a different language altogether.
You hesitate. You doubt yourself. You retreat.
Because you know you’re smart.
You know you’ve put in the effort.
But still—speaking feels like a fight.
And all you want is to finally feel normal in Czech conversations.
YESS!!!
You don’t want to “learn Czech” anymore.
You want to speak it!!
tutor Šárka
“Girls, I just have to share the excitement that shakes me up after every shared lesson in the Program.
The students’ energy is better than coke—it shoots me up into the sky every single time.
But what truly makes me pee my pants with joy is the collaboration with you, the fellow tutors.
That shared “power” (meaning the support, connection, and being on the same wavelength) is a completely different dimension—and I want more of it. I’m seriously loving it.”
tutor Maruška
“I absolutely love this Program! 💪😁
It’s not something that happens often—that a tutor gets to teach alongside another tutor, let alone two!
We were colleagues before, sure—but actually teaching together in the same lessons? That’s just a whole new level. 🥳”
tutor Jindra
“Woooow, what a ride and what power—I feel that deeply. Managing all of this… wow.
During the lessons, I feel the energy of the people there—their motivation is incredible.
Right now, I just feel so grateful for all of you. I sense the same fire in every one of us.
We’re combining strength, creativity, and ideas.
There’s openness, support… and so much more.
I’m really happy and thankful to be part of this.“
tutor Vendy
“That’s awesome—there isn’t just one tutor in each lesson!
This way, we can collaborate more, see how someone else leads a lesson, and get to know each other even better 🤩💪🏼🙌🏼
It’s a total blast (To je pecka!) 💣”
tutor Daniela
“I’ve experienced an intensive course where we passed students between us—because one tutor just couldn’t handle it alone.
But three tutors in one session? That’s a whole different story.
This aspect feels super interesting to me, and I can’t yet see all the ways it might play out.
What a riiiideeeeeee 🥳“
So glad you asked!
At slowczech, we don’t teach boring, Czech textbook.
Because nobody talks like a textbook, že jo?
Also, we don’t stick to one voice or one accent.
Because in real life, no two Czechs sound exactly the same.
We make sure you feel ready to speak.
Because you know that confidence is the real key here.
We carefully pick up immersive content for you.
Because speaking a language is firstly about being surounded by that language.
You’ll never feel like you’re on this journey alone.
Because learning Czech is faster with the like-minded people who get you!
Up to 3 live speaking lessons each week, all guided by 2–3 tutors.
You’ll be divided into breakout rooms of 2–4 speakers, so everyone gets to talk. A lot.
No lectures. No passive listening.
This is real-life Czech practice—with your Czech at the center.
Note: You don’t need to join all lessons.
Every session is independent, so you can jump in when it fits your life. 🎈
You’ll get 12 hand-picked pieces—videos, podcasts, real-life stories and dialogues—to soak up Czech the natural way.
No boring drills. No textbook nonsense.
Just real Czech, real voices, and worksheets to help you follow along.
Go at your own pace—binge it all or sip it slowly. It’s yours to explore. 🎈
You’re not doing this alone.
You’ll be surrounded by like-minded learners and caring, down-to-earth tutors who are here to support you, guide you, and make sure you never feel judged, rushed, or left behind.
No pressure. No perfectionism.
Just a kind, human space where you’re free to speak, mess up, laugh—and try again.
We’re in this together. 🎈
No made-up dialogues about train stations or Marie preparing the chicken in the kitchen.
No lists of words you’ll never actually use.
We ask you what you need in your life—at home, at work, with family.
Then we build the lessons around that.
You’ll learn normal Czech. The kind people actually say.
What you hear in lessons = what you’ll hear in the streets.
Because this isn’t school. It’s your Czech life.
Let’s speak it for real. 🎈
We help get you going.
But you decide what do you need.
And you get a ton of practice and support.
We’re here to start things up and lead you into the conversation. To react to your needs and steer things when necessary. To support and encourage you.
We set the course and help you stay on it.
This section is your foundation, filled with everything you need to handle the practical side of Czech life. You’ll manage everyday tasks or basic situations with ease, such as: making a phone call with a delivery guy, engaging in small talk with your neighbour, ordering food, or navigating cizinecká policie. You’ll feel more at home.
This section is all about connecting with the people around you. You’ll learn how to have meaningful conversations with family, friends, and neighbors—whether it’s about traditions, household matters, or social events. The goal here is independence and building stronger connections. Each lesson and piece of content is designed to bring you closer to feeling like you truly belong in these important interactions.
We’ll explore more advanced topics like workplace conversations, cultural traditions, and Czech values. This section helps you understand the humor, behaviors, and nuances that make Czech culture unique. Each lesson builds your confidence to join deeper conversations and connect more closely with Czech society, bringing you closer to fluency and feeling like a true part of the culture.
You’ll be ready for real-life situations. Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or advanced learner, you’re capable of taking part in Czech conversations.
It’s not about your level—it’s your confidence that counts!

We want you to start living it.
> Speaking with your partner’s family.
L> aughing with colleagues.

With a team of 20+ badass tutors, we bring real voices, real accents, and real stories into your learning space.

Nope—no obligation at all.
But if you love the summer experience and want more, the full Immersion begins at the end of September 2025. You’ll be more than welcome to join!
Our main focus is on real-life interactions, building confidence, and practical language use. While we touch on grammar to support your progress, it’s never really the main focus. We include light grammar practice, but only in a way that helps you speak and understand Czech naturally—no endless drills or overthinking!
No need to apologize! Unfortunately, there are no recordings of the lessons, but you can always ask in the discussion group about how the lesson went and catch up on insights from others.
Depends on how brave you are. 🙂 But the Program is not designed for complete beginners. If you’re brand new to Czech, the 2-Month “SPEAKER’S STARTER” can make you ready for the 6-Month Immersion Program. Write to us for details.
No worries! Our environment is judgment-free and perfection-free. You’re welcome to join, listen, and take your time to see what feels right for you. We’ll encourage and support you in speaking, but we’ll never push you beyond your limits. It’s all about progress at your pace.
