We found the MORE Monster under the table.

He had been whispering things like:

“Study more first.”“You’re not talented.”“You sound like a child.”

His favourite trick? Offering MORE as the answer to every Czech speaking problem. More grammar, more words, more preparation… while the real conversation kept moving without us.

The jury heard the case. The Monster was accused.

Together, we spotted his trick, put him on trial, and tried a different answer: use the Czech we have, with real humans, even when it comes out a bit wonky. Especially then. 😄

We made up our own Czech villages.Proof we can be clever and funny in Czech, even while we are learning.

We recognised ourselves.Those awkward speaking moments? Other people have them too. We were at the same table.

We practised showing up.One little response, one question, one more moment inside the conversation.

The good news? Your funny, smart self is already there.

You may think of your best Czech sentence ten minutes after the conversation ends. We know that feeling. At slowczech, we practise bringing that sentence closer to the moment you actually need it.
