Speaking Czech feels natural—you are expressing thoughts, emotions, and humor fully.
You’re speaking Czech actively, connecting with others daily—whether it’s keeping up in group conversations, chatting with in-laws or colleagues, or confidently handling the real-life situations without relying on others.
You’re getting the gist of what’s going on. You even laugh at the jokes.
You feel connected to your Czech ancesters in a way that’s both personal and fulfilling.
You feel proud of yourself. You feel like yourself when speaking Czech. No more freezing or switching to English—just the courage to try and to succeed!
You are strengthening your relationships with your loved ones.
You feel like you finally belong!
Does it sound exciting?
We will get you there!
Czech sometimes feel like a puzzle you’ll never quite solve.
You freeze up in conversations, worrying about sounding awkward.
Or you feel lost when fast, casual Czech sounds like a completely different language?
You might feel like a child when speaking, unable to fully express your thoughts, emotions, or humor.
Even when you understand the topic, you miss the key points because those textbook phrases don’t match what people actually say?
And then suddently, the nerves take over—you hesitate, question yourself, and switch back to English, left feeling like an outsider.
Confidence seems so far away, and real conversations feel out of reach.
You also face the learning challenges like:
We’ve been there too.
We tried learning alone.
We attended large group courses.
We had language lessons in school.
And while you can learn a lot of theory, these approaches have these things in common:
… because how you see yourself matters.
Speaking Czech is about believing in yourself and feeling ready.

I joined slowczech Lab as I wanted expose myself to Czech everyday and it has been great! I can interact with lecturers and other students by just opening the app and there, I could build my vocabulary and keep my motivation up. I highly recommend it if you are looking for some everyday tools to learn Czech with.
Tonia, from USA
I’m definitely enjoying the immersion content and diving deeper into each topic. I like that different teachers have a bit different style / approach to creating their content. It keeps it interesting. Honestly, you guys have a great team and I almost always find the content engaging, enjoyable, interesting, funny, helpful and / or adorable.
Petra, from Hungary
One of the best parts is the community chat. It gives me extra opportunity to actively use Czech. I also love to see the slowczech tutors there. I love learning on my own but I still need help and support. I can get these in the Lab 100%. It feels good that if I need extra support, I can join the courses or I can have a private teacher any time.

“I love the exclusive videos where I can practise directly
the phrases and words the slowczech tutor is using in free video. It allows me to pronounce the words, to feel that I am really speaking, even if alone. Amazing practise!”
“What I appreciate in slowczech Lab is how the slowczech tutors initiate discussions and then encourage us to engage, boosting our confidence in communication. This helps me a lot.”
“I live far from Czech places and people. But in the Lab, I feel connected. I have stuff to learn from and people to talk to. Even a small chat with other learners makes me feel I’m getting better at Czech.”
We help get you going.
But you decide what do you need.
And you get a ton of practice and support.
We’re here to start things up and lead you into the conversation. To react to your needs and steer things when necessary. To support and encourage you.
We set the course and help you stay on it.
This section is your foundation, filled with everything you need to handle the practical side of Czech life. You’ll manage everyday tasks or basic situations with ease, such as: making a phone call with a delivery guy, engaging in small talk with your neighbour, ordering food, or navigating cizinecká policie. You’ll feel more at home.
This section is all about connecting with the people around you. You’ll learn how to have meaningful conversations with family, friends, and neighbors—whether it’s about traditions, household matters, or social events. The goal here is independence and building stronger connections. Each lesson and piece of content is designed to bring you closer to feeling like you truly belong in these important interactions.
We’ll explore more advanced topics like workplace conversations, cultural traditions, and Czech values. This section helps you understand the humor, behaviors, and nuances that make Czech culture unique. Each lesson builds your confidence to join deeper conversations and connect more closely with Czech society, bringing you closer to fluency and feeling like a true part of the culture.
You’ll be ready for real-life situations. Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or advanced learner, you’re capable of taking part in Czech conversations.
It’s not about your level—it’s your confidence that counts!

“I can now confidently order not just coffee but also other items in a café, and I am able to have conversations with Czechs when visiting. I am less scared to interact with people.”
“For me, the community part included with the membership is a great tool to engage in a variety of topics with the slowczech teachers and other language learners. Díky!”
Let’s break it down:
If we add everything up, the total value comes to over…
187,000 CZK
But you’re not paying that. Not even close.
The program is 2,500 CZK per month with a 6-month commitment. Once you join, you’re in for the full six months—we can’t wait to see your progress! 🎈
“After joining slowczech Lab, it was like magic I automatically started saying Na zdraví not just when drinking beer but also when people sneeze. It’s a miracle!”
At slowczech, we believe that learning a language should feel natural, practical, and connected to real life. Our mission is simple: to help you not just learn Czech, but live it. And to create the genuine connectins with people who are important to you and who are Czech.
We know that traditional methods—memorizing grammar rules, drilling vocabulary, or following outdated textbooks—don’t prepare you for real conversations. That’s why we focus on what matters: the Czech you’ll actually use and that people use!
With a team of 18 tutors, we bring diverse accents, teaching styles, and real-life experiences to help you speak the Czech you want.
Beyond that, we’re proud to educate and inspire Czech teachers all over the world, sharing our approach to make real-life Czech learning accessible to more students.
Slowczech is more than lessons—it’s a supportive community, a clear path to your visible progress, and a way to make Czech part of your life.
We’re here to help you feel at home in Czech conversations. Let’s make this journey together! 🎈
Immerse yourself in Czech with videos and podcasts that bring you closer to the everyday life and culture of the Czech Republic, providing slowczech-style comprehensible input that you can understand.
With slowczech tutors, practice Czech in authentic, everyday situations. Engage in meaningful conversations that build and deepen your connections with the Czechs who play important roles in your life.
With slowczech community right by your side, we’ll set goals together, cheer each other on, and ensure you never feel lost on your journey, all while building relationships with fellow learners.
Absolutely! While you’ll have one primary section that’s your main focus, you’re encouraged to join any community conversation, real-life practice, or imemrsive content that catches your interest and feels useful for you right now. The more you participate and engage across sections, the faster your progress will be!
The schedule is consistent and occurs weekly (Czech times):
Our main focus is on real-life interactions, building confidence, and practical language use. While we touch on grammar to support your progress, it’s never the main focus. We include light grammar practice, but only in a way that helps you speak and understand Czech naturally—no endless drills or overthinking!
No need to apologize! Unfortunately, there are no recordings of the lessons, but you can always ask in the discussion group about how the lesson went and catch up on insights from others.
Depends on how brave you are. 🙂 But the Program is not designed for complete beginners. If you’re brand new to Czech, the free Total Beginner podcasts and videos or our 1:1 lessons are a great place to start.
There are three lessons each week—one for each section. Most lessons are scheduled between 15:00 and 20:00 Czech time, with other times available based on discussions. The entire monthly schedule is planned in advance, and you can see all lessons in the event calendar with direct links to join.
No worries! Our environment is judgment-free and perfection-free. You’re welcome to join, listen, and take your time to see what feels right for you. We’ll encourage and support you in speaking, but we’ll never push you beyond your limits. It’s all about progress at your pace.

I am slowczech founder and from my experience I know two things: beginners can understand words with time. And enjoyable input is vital for natural language acquisition. Many give up Czech due to old methods, irrelevant vocabulary or overwhelming grammar. Let’s change that and make learning Czech exciting and effective.
